The Company
A growing and dynamic family owned manufacturer of a wide range food products. Customers range from UK based Food Manufacturers and major multiples. A progressive company that is enjoying sustained growth and has recently moved to a brand new manufacturing facility.
The Role
Working as key member of the development team you will be responsible for all areas of product and concept development. Working on a number of high profile accounts of new and existing business. This is a blue sky role so you will be expected to create and develop ideas that can be taken to clients for review.
This role will require flexibility in approach, working closely with various departments including, sales, technical, purchasing, and operations/production, as well as outside contact such as suppliers and other manufactures.
This is also a customer facing role in which you will be expected to support the account managers and technologists with presentations and customer visits with the products that have been developed.
Specifically:
- Produce product from blue sky ideas and concepts
- Work efficiently adhering to the agreed development framework, successfully passing stage gates on time and with all key tasks fully completed.
- Present to the customer in a professional manner, to "sell" concepts
- Maintain awareness of key industry and consumer trends.
- Responsible for all aspects of the product development
You will be commercially minded and have experience of costings in addition to recipe formulation. This position will suit a development chef who is a blue sky thinker and is truly passionate about seeing creations to fruition.
£35000 dependant on experience
