The job holder will be responsible for organising and delivering projects.
·To manage, supervise, conduct and report project work associated with baking
·To initiate, supervise execute and report contract work within agreed costs and deadlines
·To plan, arrange and contribute to training courses, seminars and conferences
·Answer enquiries
·Contribute to research projects
·Contribute to the development of junior staff
·Comply with all health and safety requirements
·Supervision of a Technician
The Person
·Graduate in a biological science, food technology, engineering or equivalent with post graduate experience in the food sector
·Proven competence working within the food sector, preferably bakery related.
·Knowledge of cakes and biscuits would be ideal
·Good communication skills
·Team player
·Able to work on a number of projects simultaneously to agreed deadlines
·Good understanding of scientific concepts
·Ability to apply knowledge in new situations
·Demonstrate creative and innovative skills
·Sound project management skills
·Competent with statistical analysis techniques
·Computer literate
