The Company

A young dynamic and ambitious business which is part of a larger national food manufacturing group.Highly regarded producer within its market sector with a diverse product offering and whose customer base includes many of the world's largest household name brands in addition to anumber of the major high street retailers.

Employing circa 300 hundred people across two sites which both have the capacity to expand and further develop their business.

The Role

·Manage costs within the agreed budget including labour, utilities, material usage and waste, PPE and chemicals.

·Have input to the creation of the manufacturing strategy. Implement and drive the manufacturing strategy within area of responsibility.

·Constantly meet production schedule (on time delivery) by ensuring that skill sets and labour are aligned, whilst maintaining high product quality and hygiene standards.

·Carry out weekly team briefing with production staff.

·Manage and ensure that hygiene and housekeeping meet BRC standards.

·Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed by all production staff. Carry out any disciplinary or absence control meetings up to final written warning stage. Be the main point of contact for absent staff and maintain internal communication systems accordingly. Implement the company's absence policy and when required, carry out home visits.

·Maintain control of labour planning and costs, including overtime/agency, to achieve standard material cost in the manufacturing process.

·Identify productivity improvement opportunities for products and process.

·Maintain up-to-date standard operating procedures within area of responsibility.

·Eliminate waste in a manufacturing process, floor layouts, reporting processes, daily reporting and paper work / routines.

·Lead Health & Safety within area of responsibility.
