·The RoleSupport Development Manager & Development chef's to ensure smooth transition from concept development to factory development.
·Project manage & drive development projects and maintenance of associated trackers.
·Ensure all development projects are delivered on time, inline with customer requirements & with full technical compliance.
·Complete Product Review documentation for every product in development to support client review meetings
·Key driver of the nutritional theoretical analysis for all concepts, including GDA and traffic light analysis
·Create 1st stage recipe formulations to incl. basic ingredient declarations & quid analysis for all concepts
·Support chef's in verifying relevant characteristics - reheats, freezability, recipes / yields, shelf life, quality standards
·Support new raw material form completion to ensure technical as well as culinary accuracy
·Produce process flows for all concept NPD / EPD projects to support SWOT analysis
·Co-ordinate and, as applicable, conduct Pilot plant validation trials in conjunction with development technologists
·Liaise with Technical functions ie packaging, specifications & raw material supply
·Support Development technologists to cover Development Manager for holidays / visits
The Person
·Degree qualified in food related discipline or min. of 5 years appropriate experience Detailed knowledge of food manufacturing
·Sound practical based experience, history of proven problem solving & delivered projects.
·Innovative, logical & systematic approach to project management
·Reliable, honest professional who works well under pressure.
·Ability to apply Food Science & Nutrition knowledge.
·Passion for food & ability to support technologists & chefs in recipe formulation & balancing
·Organised individual with ability to communicate at all levels
·Self confident with good attention to detail and ability to multi task to deliver to timescales.
·Self motivated with a ‘can do' attitude
·Good sensory skills and food palate to assess all types of cuisine
