The Company
Our client is the UK's largest producer of cheese, supplying all major food retailers, food processors and food service organisations. Formed in the year 2000, they employ around 1,250 people and in 2007/08 generated a turnover of over £520m.The Role
As the most senior member of staff on site the operations manager will be required to oversee the smooth running of all aspects of this production and packaging including the management of up to 70 staff, including supervisors and managers.
The Person
·Production / Operations Management experience essential
·Proven track record of managing a fast paced processing environment
·Strong staff management skills essential, along with the ability to lead by example and motivate senior members of staff.
·Experience of lean manufacturing techniques.
·Dairy background preferred but not essential
Circa £45,000 depending on skills and experience.
