Process Technologist – 884232

Ensure the smooth transition of product concepts to launch, ensuring the technical and quality standards are consistently achieved. Working alongside Technical and Operational Teams, you will assist in striving for continuous improvement through challenging the existing factory procedures / processes / kit or raw materials.

 

The Role:

  • Operate as a hands-on technician to transfer concept samples to the factory and support post launch for a minimum of 3 production runs
    • Understand and utilise gate process as well as critical path management to deliver metrics
    • Organise and lead process trials – document the outcome of such trials, to assist factory to replicate concept samples.
    • Create relevant production paperwork (Process and Quality Attribute Sheets) to support product launches – ensure these are trained out across all shifts
    • Ensure effective communication with customers to deliver the agreed requirements both in full and on time, whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy
    • In line with the Site HACCP Plan, ensure that products are shelf stable
    • Outside of New Product Development, focus will be placed on supporting with production efficiency / consistency. These include:
    • Process Auditing
    • Process Improvements
    • Review of new equipment / raw material / processes

The Person:

  • Degree Qualified in Food Science / Technology or a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Proven track record of successful process launches
  • HACCP Knowledge
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Health & Safety awareness
