Area Production Manager – 884072 – £38000 plus bonus

The Role:

 

  • Manage all aspects of Prep and Production areas, ensure all production plans are completed to the highest food safety, quality, GMP standards, on time and in full
  • Ensure all staff operate in a safe manner in compliance with H&S procedures
  • Strive to minimise material wastage and giveaway, therefore maximising yields
  • Manage the Prep, and Production teams to ensure continual individual and team development
  • Ensure efficient use of labour to allow the production plan to be completed in line with labour budgets
  • To focus manufacturing efforts and resources on improving processes and consistency with the overall aim to produce best-in-class products and service at lowest possible cost.
  • Ensure you understand all aspects of our required food safety standards within your areas, in particular CCPs
  • Ensure FIFO and batch control is in place and adhered to at all times
  • Ensure processes, procedures, methods and recipes are followed and there is accurate recording (both paperwork and digitally) of manufacturing
  • You must ensure the company IT system and Production Schedules are kept up to date and accurate to reflect performance and aid in traceability
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Director, Continuous Improvement Manager and the site senior team to develop the improvement initiatives that will form the workplan for the site.
  • Ensure traceability is maintained at all times
  • Monitor, review and manage staff performance, including setting quarterly KPIs, developing and reviewing annuals PDPs and conducting disciplinaries / performance management where required

 

The Person:

  • Previous experience in a similar role essential
  • Food manufacturing experience essential
