The Role

·Development kitchen based role working from project briefs and generation of your own concepts.

·Managing projects in the development of new products, product improvements and cost reduction.

·Work with the team to ensure the delivery and successful start-ups of new products, product improvement, cost reduction, ingredient, formula, specification, or process changes.

·Providing and ensure accurate collation of information towards ingredient, recipe and finished product costings

·Liaising with retail customers in the creation of new products and continuous improvement of existing sku’s.

·The Person
Experience within a food product development environment

• An in-depth knowledge of the role and interaction of food ingredients, natural flavouring compounds, processing aids, natural industrial additives, preservatives and starches.
• Experience of successful product launches into the major retailers and compliance with documented BRC requirements
• Experience of completing recipe costings analysis, definition of meat content calculations, recipe ratios and scale up calculations.
• Driving license and own transport is essential
