The Role ·To implement the technical strategy on a day to day basis ensuring that all technical standards, customer codes of practice and food legislation are consistently adhered to allowing all products to be positively released. ·To ensure that HACCP is maintained within the factory and reflects best practice at all times. ·To ensure that hygiene practices within areas are adequate to ensure safety standards. ·To ensure that all areas have adequate pest control mechanisms in place limiting any threat to food safety ·To support production to actively maintain technical standards advising on how to tackle issues that may compromise technical integrity ·To maintain a positive working relationship with the customer ensuring that all customer requirements are consistently met in a timely manner. ·To liaise with local authorities on all technical legislation to ensure company compliance as a food manufacturing site. ·To actively manage product complaints downwards through the implementation of robust action plans which deliver results. ·To manage, coach and develop direct reports to make decisions and demonstrate a pro-active approach to problem-solving ·To ensure that the technical aspect of NPD is carried out diligently and in a timely manner.
