The Company Reputable manufacturer of quality own brand and label goods wishes to strengthen their team with the recruitment of this position following internal promotion.A progressive organisation with an enviable reputation for providing a first class service to their customers Generating and translating ideas into workable solutions.This includes developing new product ideas from concept right through to launch, along with the management of the launch process. You will be the key point of contact with the customer in relation to NPD. Manage all product briefs from concept to launch in an efficient, organised manner. You will be the key point of contact with Quality Managers to ensure new launches are integrated into the food safety and quality systems. Fully understand your retailer brand standards and policies when developing new products and also to communicate updates to your team regarding brand standards. Use knowledge of equipment, recipes and ingredients to define new products and processes that improve performance or margin. Liaise with Suppliers for new developments and progress further by making recommendations implementing these in conjunction with business strategy. Ensure all new products that are launched are to an acceptable food safety standard The Person ·Degree qualified in food related discipline ·Min. of 5 years appropriate experience within food manufacturer / retailer ·Detailed knowledge of food manufacturing processes to drive pilot plant work ·Ability to multi task & to deliver to timescales. ·Sound practical based experience, history of proven problem solving & delivered projects. ·Innovative, logical & systematic approach to project management ·Reliable, honest professional who works well under pressure. ·Ability to apply Food Science & Nutrition knowledge. ·Passion for food & ability to support technologists & chefs in recipe formulation & balancing
