The Role
Managing the operational function on a day to day basis from a hands on perspective and strategic point of view
Ensure that the Health & Safety of all employees is protected by delivering a site health & safety plan that ensures continuous improvement and meets legislative requirements.
Ensure all company customer and legislative quality / food safety standards are maintained and continually developed
Control and continually reduce the cost of manufacture to deliver labour and material variance targets through a site manufacturing improvement plan.
Drive initiatives such as continuous improvement
Increase site communications – engaging staff
Development of a multifunctional team that embraces and strives for improvements
P&L - Financial targets
Enhancement of Union relations on site to create a more effective approach
The Person
Able to demonstrate the delivery of change management & performance improvement programmes
Ability to drive cultural change
Experience of achieving operational excellence
Can provide evidence of developing people across the business management/people development experience at all levels
Self motivated and highly resilient
Strong commercial acumen
Strong Financial awareness
Can provide recent examples of successfully working with a demanding client base
Must have a proven track record of delivery
