Mechanical Engineer, Job Reference: FM1005
The Company
A long established privately owned company within the food and drink industry which has become an institution. Respected within its sector and valued by its customers, this company supplies both food service and the major retailers.
The Role
• Diagnostic investigation of faulty process plant and equipment to establish the cause of the problem and carry out the necessary repair or replacement
• Implement planned maintenance and statutory inspection and testing routines
• Monitor plant and equipment and implement on remedial work required
• Carry out routine mechanical installation work.
• Refer serious problems to the engineering supervisor for further instructions.
• Maintain steam raising, refrigeration, compressed air, process gases and water distribution plant in optimum condition of efficiency
• Maintain standby generator plant in optimum condition which is run monthly.
• Installation of capital and revenue projects.
• Recommendation of specifications for mechanical installations
The Person
• Good knowledge of the principles of mechanical engineering and utilities plant.
• Can demonstrate good practical mechanical engineering knowledge and skills.
• The ability to understand and interpret mechanical engineering drawings
• Electrical knowledge would be advantageous
FOOD/BEVERAGE EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL
