A growing and dynamic family owned manufacturer of a wide range food products. Customers range from UK based Food Manufacturers and major multiples major buying groups . A progressive company that is enjoying sustained growth and has recently moved to a brand new manufacturing facility
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, main duties include
• To manage the manufacturing process and packing operations, in a cost efficient method in line with departmental budgets.
• To liaise with Operations Manager, direct reports and other departments to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the area.
• To carry out discipline/counselling of all direct reports
• To carry out departmental appraisals of key roles, in conjunction with the Operations Manager, to develop individuals and ensure that all members are working to a common set of objectives in line with the company objectives.
• To support the Operations Manager in promoting a culture of Continuous Improvement within the manufacturing environment.
• When required, to operate as the senior manager on site
• HACCP Knowledge.
The Person
• Previous experience as a Production Supervisor/Manager within a food manufacturing environment is essential.
• Strong man-management skills.
• Used to working in a fast-paced environment.
