We hear in the media every day about the down turn in the economy and the effects of the credit crunch, announcements of redundancies are a common occurrence. But is it all doom and gloom?????
Whilst there have been a number of companies within the food industry that have announced they are closing sites as they have a product that is portable and able to be produced off shore, on the whole and from a recruitment perspective we have not witnessed a down turn. In fact business levels in terms of demand have increased.
There is still plenty of scope for those individuals who are seeking a career move within their immediate area, and a wealth of opportunity for those who are prepared to broaden their catch net and relocate or weekly commute out of their area.
Demand is high for all skill sets and the trend remains that NPD skills are still highly sort after. We have witnessed a particular increase in the number of requirements for interim staff at a senior level specifically for technical managers/ directors and operations managers/directors.
So it is good news for those looking for ‘'Jobs in the Food Industry''
